"When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful" Eric Thomas is a motivational speaker, author, activist, and a minister. Here is an awesome speech he gave to a group of students on the secrets to success.
Transcript:
There was a young man, you know, who wanted to make a lot of money and so he went to this guru, right. And he told the guru you know I wanna be on the same level you are and the guru said if you wanna be on the same level I'm on, I'll met you tomorrow at the beach.
So the young man got there 4 A.M. he already to rock n' roll. Got on a suit should of wore shorts. The old man grabs his hand and said: How bad do you wanna be successful? He said: "Real bad". He said: Walk on out in the water. So he walks out into the water. Watch this. When he walks out to the water he goes waist deep and goes like this guy crazy.
I wanna make money and he got me out here swimming. I didn't ask to be a lifeguard. I wanna make money he got me in -- so he said come on a little further -- walked out a little further -- then he had it right around this area -- the shoulder area -- so this old man crazy -- he making money but he crazy. So he said come on out a little further -- came out a little further, it was right at his mouth -- my man, I'm not about to go back in this guy is out of his mind. And the old man said: "I thought you said you wanted to be successful?" He said: "I do." He said: "Then walk a little further." He came, dropped his head in, held him down, hold him down, my man (kept scratching) hold him down, he had him held down, just before my man was about to pass out, he raised him up. He said: "I got a question for you." He told the guy, he said: "When you want to succeed as bad as you wanna breathe than you will be successful."
I don't know how many of you all got asthma here today? If you ever had a asthma attack before your short of breath S.O.B shortness of breath, you wheezing (breath sound) the only thing you trying to do is get some air. You don't care about no basketball game, you don't care about what's on T.V., you don't care about nobody calling you, you don't care about a party. The only thing you care about when you trying to breathe is to get some fresh air. That's it! And when you get to the point where all you wanna do is be is successful as bad as you wanna breathe then you will be successful. And I'm here to tell you that number one, most of you say you wanna be successful but you don't want it bad, you just kind of want it. You don't want it bad than you wanna party. You don't want it as much as you want to be cool. Most of you don't want success as much as you want sleep. Some of you lost sleep more than you lost success. And I'm here to tell you today, if your going to be successful you gotta be willing to give up sleep. You gotta be willing to work with 3 hours of sleep -- 2 hours of sleep, if you really wanna be successful. Some day your gonna have to stay up 3 days in a row. Because if you go to sleep you might miss the opportunity to be successful. That's how bad you gotta (inaudible).
You gotta go days without -- LISTEN TO ME! You gotta want to be successful so bad that you forget to eat. My ( ) said say, once she was on the set doing her thang, three days had gone by and she forgot that she didn't eat. Cause she was engaged. I never forget, I went, 50 Cent was doing his movie, I did a little research on 50 and 50 said: that when he wasn't do the movie he was doing the soundtrack. And they said: "When do you sleep?" 50, and 50 said: "Sleep, sleep is for those people who are broke. I don't sleep." See I got an opportunity to make my dream become a reality. Don't cry to quits. You already in pain, you already hurt. Get a reward from it. Don't go to sleep until you succeed. Listen to me, I'm here to tell you today you can come here and and you can jump up -- you can do flips and you can be excited when we give away money but listen to me, you will never be successful, I don't have to give you a dime if you ( ) You won't be successful until you say I don't need that money cause I got it in here.

Barack Obama - What David Icke wrote about the man before he even became president
From December, 2008 ...
'I can understand the appeal of Obama because people want him to be what he claims to be, but isn't. They are sick of the conflict, the corruption, the struggle we call 'life' and they want it all to change.
But Obama's change is illusory and represents only the continued transformation of society in the image envisaged by Orwell ... keep your eye on the ball and you'll see how the agenda of the global tyranny is introduced under the guise of Obama's 'hope', 'change', 'believe', 'sacrifice' and 'coming together'.
It could take two years, maybe much more, before cognitive dissonance (lying to yourself) loses it current grip on the minds of the Obama faithful. Until then they will make endless excuses for him (lie to themselves) to keep the 'dream' alive.
But one day they will have to admit, by the power of the evidence before them, that they bought a dream and got a nightmare. What a pity they can't see the obvious now and save themselves such painful disappointment ...
... Obama isn't against war at all and, if his controllers have their way, he will engage the US in even more foreign conflicts with the troops sent to their deaths, and the deaths of their targets, on a wave of oratory from the dark suit with the black face who would never go where he's sending them.'

Breaking News: Bradley Manning found NOT guilty of aiding the enemy.
Like our NEW page on Facebook.Click here > EducateInspireChange.org
Today is a big day. Bradley Manning found NOT guilty of Aiding The Enemy. The only other problem is that he may face 19 other charges. But let's focus on the good for now.
On
Wednesday , Private First Class Bradley Manning was handed a verdict on charges he
faced in relation to leaking classified material – after 1,160 days of
pre-trial detention. His crime was to release military documents to WikiLeaks.
Contained within this material was footage of a US military
helicopter gunning down a father taking his children to school; evidence of a
death squad operating in Afghanistan, and files showing that rather than
containing just "the worst of the worst", Guantánamo held dementia
patients, taxi drivers and prisoners of the Taliban.
Millions worldwide regard Manning as a hero, but he was always
going to face prosecution for his actions. Not pursuing him would have been
politically untenable given the national security climate in the US. Military
leaders would have feared the repercussions of allowing a soldier to get away
with such a large-scale leak.
But the Obama administration didn't merely go through the
motions in pursuit of Manning. Military authorities imposed a charge that
should have sparked far greater alarm than it did. They argued that by talking
to the media, Manning had "aided the enemy" – a charge tantamount to
treason, which can carry the death penalty (though this was not pursued in Manning's
case).
This is not so much the
beginning of a slippery slope for a democratic nation as a headlong plummet. A
guilty verdict would have redefined the media – from outlets such as WikiLeaks to
bastions of the establishment like the New York Times – as proxies for the
enemy. It would have ended any distinction between a traitor selling military
secrets to the highest bidder and someone speaking to a journalist on a matter
of conscience and for no reward.
By finding Manning not guilty
on this dangerous charge (though guilty ofespionage and
theft), military judge colonel Denise Lind has pulled the US back from the
precipice – for now. But that outcome does not alter the fact that such a
charge was sought by prosecutors in the first place.
The Manning prosecution has
represented, in essence, a proxy war on watchdog journalism. Rather than
targeting reporters – for the moment – the administration has focused on
journalists' sources. Since Manning was indicted, other cases have been brought
against sources and whistleblowers, and the surveillance of journalists
from AP and Fox News has been uncovered.
Double standards are evident in the fact that semi-sanctioned
"leaks" from security sources, of material that shows the US military
in a good light, happen daily. In principle, such disclosures are crimes equal
in severity to those of Manning. Yet no one has been taken to court.
All of which is to say nothing of Manning's shameful pre-trial
treatment: held in a 6ft by 12ft cell, deprived of sleep, forced to stand
naked, and more. In recompense for these actions – which were found even by the
military court to be inappropriate – his detention was reduced by just 112
days.
The prosecution of Manning was
intended to send a signal. If nothing else, it has done that. It has shown that
when faced with evidence of its own wrongdoing, the current US administration
focuses on punishing the messenger. It shows the
first amendment is
easier to honour in the abstract than in reality. And it risks sending a
message to nations that routinely imprison, assault or even kill journalists
and activists, that when it comes to the crunch, the supposed leader of the
free world is not much different.
This trial has not been the proudest moment in America's
history. It should serve as a warning to those who care about its future. And
hopefully, it can also be a turning point.

A Little Girl's Moment Of Courage Captured On Camera Is The Reason We Need To Look After Each Other
Terrified and fearful for her future, 11-year-old Nada al-Ahdal fled her family in her hometown in Yemen to stay with her uncle nearby. Why? Well, her incredibly gut-wrenching description of her experience— and that of millions of girls across the world —is too powerful for me to try to put into words.Look into her eyes and let her explain to you herself. At 1:38, she asks a question that the whole of humanity needs to answer.
The story of brave little
Nada Alahdal who RAN AWAY FROM HOME because she would would rather die than be
forced into child marriage. She speaks so eloquently about her ordeal.
A video, posted on YouTube, shows an 11-year-old Yemeni girl called Nada al-Ahdal recounting how she escaped her parents who wanted to force her to marry. Nada comes from a modest family and is one of eight siblings. Fortunately for her, her uncle Abdel Salam al-Ahdal, a montage and graphics technician in a TV station, decided to take her in when she was three years old, to live with him and his aging mother, away from her parents.
Nada was not an only child at home. Her uncle had also taken his other nephew under his wing, as the boy's own father couldn't afford his son's medical requirements. Abdel Salam was thus responsible for bringing up two children. He personally took care of keeping them, and his frail mother, clean and well-fed.
Nada grew up in this caring environment, went to school, and learned English during the summer vacation. She has her own Facebook page, was a gifted singer, and took part in musicals. However, her happiness was cut short when someone came to ask her parents for her hand in marriage. The man, a Yemeni expatriate living in Saudi Arabia, did not care about the girl's age. Her parents were happy because the prospective groom worked abroad and was rich.
Abdel Salam tells NOW: "When I heard about the groom, I panicked. Nada was not even 11 years old; she was exactly 10 years and 3 months. I could not allow her to be married off and have her future destroyed, especially since her aunt was forced to marry at 13 and burnt herself. I did all I could to prevent that marriage. I called the groom and told him Nada was no good for him. I told him she did not wear the veil and he asked if things were going to remain like that. I said 'yes, and I agree because she chose it.' I also told him that she liked singing and asked if he would remain engaged to her."
The groom recanted the engagement and told the girl's parents he did not want their daughter anymore. Nada's parents, looking forward to a hefty bride price, were disappointed.
Nada had an 18 year-old sister who had been engaged many times. Her parents accepted each new proposal and took a partial downpayment for a bride price. They would then postpone the marriage until the groom had enough money, eventually ending each engagement, not returning the money. The same story would start all over again with another suitor, and so it was that she had had nine fiancés.
After Abdel Salam succeeded in warding off Nada's first husband-to-be, her parents came from Zubaid on a visit to Sana'a and asked for their daughter to stay with them until mid-Ramadan. Abdel Salam agreed only to learn from the parents days later that Nada had disappeared.
At one point Nada escaped and tried to return to her uncle. When she got back to Sana'a, she was scared he would take her back to her mother. He found out afterwards that Nada's mother wanted to marry her off again but did not tell him as she feared he would "scare away" the suitor as he had done the first time around.
Abdel Salam took Nada and went to the Ministry of the Interior's family protection department. He explained to them what had happened and they carried out investigations with Nada, her uncle, and her parents. They discovered that there had been no kidnapping and that the parents wanted to marry their daughter against her will. The case ended with Nada's father apologizing for fear of being sentenced for wrongful accusations and saying that he trusted his brother with bringing up his daughter.
In a message sent to NOW, Nada addressed every mother and father seeking to marry off their daughters, saying: "I am a child and I want to realize my dreams. My aunt was forced to get married so she burned herself to death, and I saw pictures of her with burns. Let me realize my dream. I want to go to school, become a star, and help other children. I am not thinking about marriage, I don't want to now. I want to say to fathers and mother, 'let us realize our dreams, do not kill them'."
