Carl Sagan's Last Warning To Humanity

A Science Icon Died 17 Years Ago. In His Last Interview, He Made A Warning That Gives Me Goosebumps.

Carl Sagan inspired a generation of scientists with his work in and out of the classroom. But he didn't always present science with cheer. In this clip, he passionately defends science with a grave warning. It's something we all need to hear.

How An Entire City Came Together To Make This Dying 5 Year Old’s Dream Come True Is Incredible

How An Entire City Came Together To Make This Dying 5 Year Old’s Dream Come True Is Incredible.

Miles Scott is only 5 years-old, but he has been fighting leukemia his entire life. Make A Wish in San Francisco gave the little boy a chance to forget about all of his hardships and make his dreams come true… and Miles loves Batman, so he got to BE Batman (well, Batkid) and fight super villains along side Batman and San Francisco cops.
Don’t be surprised if you smile AND cry when you see the video and some pictures.  (Be sure to scroll right to the bottom to see the touching pictures.)

The entire city of San Francisco, Ca, was enamored by the crime fighting duo. Hundreds of people showed up to support Bat Kid.

"Gotham City" had an extra set of hands fighting crime as Miles Scott got his wish to fight alongside of Batman.

Miles spent the entire day running around the city, fighting villains and eradicating crime.

Officers blocked traffic and rode alongside Bat Kid as a special convoy.

A hostage was tied to a (fake) bomb, trapped there by the Riddler.

Luckily, Bat Kid was there to rescue her and disarm the bomb.

The crowd cheered as Bat Kid saved the day!

Cries of “Bat Kid, Bat Kid!” could be heard all over the city.

“When you have an illness, it’s very important to know you have a support system,” said Gina Futrell, a 51-year-old with multiple sclerosis, who was among a large crowd gathered at Union Square for a chance to so see the “Batkid” in action. “I have an extremely strong support system, and I hope he does too. He’s such a little hero.”
Batkid was called into service by Police Chief Greg Suhr and spent the day zooming from one “crime scene” to the next. Accompanied by an adult Batman impersonator, Batkid rescued a damsel in distress from cable car tracks, captured the Riddler as he robbed a bank, and saved the San Francisco Giants mascot – Lou Seal – from the Penguin’s clutches.
Batkid is the greatest hero we have ever seen

Russell Brand talks about Transcendental Meditation

Comedian Russell Brand talks about how he is "very grateful to be involved" with the launch of David Lynch Foundation's Operation Warrior Wellness, which offers the Transcendental Meditation technique to veterans suffering with PTSD. He discusses his own experience with TM and how it offered him "access to a deeper state of happiness" and made his "tendency towards selfishness exposed as a superficial and pointless perspective to have." He also explains how it helped him recover from his drug addiction, saying, "my recovery is contingent upon a spiritual component." He goes on to voice his support of TM as something that can not only benefit veterans but all human beings: "This technique is applicable to all human beings in all situations, no matter how extreme, trivial or mundane, everyone can draw from it."

Quantum physics proves that there IS an afterlife

Quantum physics proves that there IS an afterlife, claims scientist

  • -Robert Lanza claims the theory of biocentrism says death is an illusion
  • -He said life creates the universe, and not the other way round
  • -This means space and time don't exist in the linear fashion we think it does
  • -He uses the famous double-split experiment to illustrate his point
  • -And if space and time aren't linear, then death can't exist in 'any real sense' either

Most scientists would probably say that the concept of an afterlife is either nonsense, or at the very least unprovable.

Yet one expert claims he has evidence to confirm an existence beyond the grave - and it lies in quantum physics.

Professor Robert Lanza claims the theory of biocentrism teaches that death as we know it is an illusion created by our consciousness.

Professor Robert Lanza claims the theory of biocentrism teaches death as we know it is an illusion. He believes our consciousness creates the universe, and not the other way round, and once we accept that space and time are 'tools of our minds', death can't exist in 'any real sense' either

'We think life is just the activity of carbon and an admixture of molecules – we live a while and then rot into the ground,' said the scientist on his website.
Lanza, from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina, continued that as humans we believe in death because 'we've been taught we die', or more specifically, our consciousness associates life with bodies and we know that bodies die.

His theory of biocentrism, however, explains that death may not be as terminal as we think it is.
Biocentrism is classed as the theory of everything and comes from the Greek for 'life centre'.
It is the believe that life and biology are central to reality and that life creates the universe, not the other way round.
This suggests a person's consciousness determines the shape and size of objects in the universe.
Lanza uses the example of the way we perceive the world around us. A person sees a blue sky, and is told that the colour they are seeing is blue, but the cells in a person's brain could be changed to make the sky look green or red.

LANZA'S THEORY OF BIOCENTRISM AND THE AFTERLIFE

Biocentrism is classed as the Theory of Everything and comes from the Greek for 'life centre'. It is the belief that life and biology are central to reality and that life creates the universe, not the other way round.
Lanza uses the example of the way we perceive the world around us.
A person sees a blue sky, and is told that the colour they are seeing is blue, but the cells in a person's brain could be changed to make the sky look green or red.
Our consciousness makes sense of the world, and can be altered to change this interpretation.

By looking at the universe from a biocentric's point of view, this also means space and time don't behave in the hard and fast ways our consciousness tell us it does.
In summary, space and time are 'simply tools of our mind.'
Once this theory about space and time being mental constructs is accepted, it means death and the idea of immortality exist in a world without spatial or linear boundaries.
Theoretical physicists believe that there is infinite number of universes with different variations of people, and situations taking place, simultaneously.
Lanza added that everything which can possibly happen is occurring at some point across these multiverses and this means death can't exist in 'any real sense' either.
Lanza, instead, said that when we die our life becomes a 'perennial flower that returns to bloom in the multiverse.'

'Bottom line: What you see could not be present without your consciousness,' explained Lanza. 'Our consciousness makes sense of the world.'

Once this theory about space and time being mental constructs is accepted, it means death and the idea of immortality exist in a world without spatial or linear boundaries.
Similarly, theoretical physicists believe there is infinite number of universes with different variations of people, and situations, taking place simultaneously.

Lanza cites the double-slit test, pictured, to backup his claims. When scientists watch a particle pass through two slits, the particle goes through one slit or the other. If a person doesn't watch it, it acts like a wave and can go through both slits simultaneously. This means its behaviour changes based on a person's perception

HOW THE DOUBLE-SLIT EXPERIMENT SUPPORTS LANZA'S THEORY

In the experiment, when scientists watch a particle pass through two slits in a barrier, the particle behaves like a bullet and goes through one slit or the other.
Yet if a person doesn't watch the particle, it acts like a wave.
This means it can go through both slits at the same time.
This demonstrates that matter and energy can display characteristics of both waves and particles, and that the behaviour of the particle changes based on a person's perception and consciousness.

Lanza added that everything which can possibly happen is occurring at some point across these multiverses and this means death can't exist in 'any real sense' either.
Lanza, instead, said that when we die our life becomes a 'perennial flower that returns to bloom in the multiverse.'
He continued: 'Life is an adventure that transcends our ordinary linear way of thinking. When we die, we do so not in the random billiard-ball-matrix but in the inescapable-life-matrix.'
Lanza cited the famous double-slit experiment to backup his claims.

The Evolution Of Reality by Terence Mckenna

Transcedence + Ascension = TRANSCENSIONThe transcension hypothesis asks whether our civilization is rapidly developing into something analogous to a black hole Some physicists also argue black holes may be "seeds" or "replicators" for new universes, thus giving us a clue as to what we would do after we meet up with other intelligence

Living Without Money | The Moneyless Manifesto

Mark Boyle's new book, The Moneyless Manifesto explores in-depth the social, personal, ecological and economic reasons why we may want to transition beyond money into a localised, gift-based economy.

During a philosophical evening conversation about the many troubles in the world, Mark Boyle realized that each of the many issues he was discussing with his friend shared a common root cause: money. Inspired by Mahatma Ghandi’s quote, “Be the change you want to see in the world,” Mark, then a successful businessman, resolved to live for a year without spending or receiving any hard cash. After successfully living moneyless for a whole year, Mark decided to continue living like that for two further years. As he now claims, this turned out to be the most fulfilling period of his life.
“I’ve now more friends in my community than ever, I haven’t been ill since I began, and I’ve never felt fitter. I’ve found that friendship, not money, is real security. Most western poverty is psychological. Real independence is interdependence.”
Since that experience, Mark authored two books: The Moneyless Man and The Moneyless Manifesto. In these books, he described his experience of living moneyless and provided a guide for reducing society’s dependence on money; he donated all the profits he made through the books to charity. Furthermore, Mark is the founder of the free economy movement, an alternative economy that has been adopted by local groups all across the world. Mark continues to spread his message that we need to change the way we live. He strongly believes that we are addicted to money and our obsession with it is leading to the destruction of our planet. Moreover, he is of the opinion that we need to live in harmony and live in a sustainable manner; in other words in a more “heartfelt” and “loving” way. He stresses out that we need to do this now, before it is too late. As he says, we are all part of the story, so we need to be part of the change. A very important message indeed.

The Evolution of Consciousness

“You must unlearn what you have been ‘programmed’ to believe from birth. That software no longer serves you if you want to live in a universe where all things are possible.” -Jacqueline E. Purcell The world is in crisis and transformation. Now, our civilization has the opportunity to evolve its thinking. We are beginning to realize that the old ways of competition and 'survival of the fittest' are not sustainable for individuals, businesses, or the planet. Nature may be our most qualified life coach, with millions of years of experience in creating sustainability. It's time to look to Her wisdom for some answers. It's time to do something different; the evolution occurs when we try smarter - not harder!

“The crisis is a crisis in consciousness, a crisis that cannot anymore accept the old norms, the old patterns, the ancient traditions and considering what the world is now, with all the misery, conflict, destructive brutality, aggression and so on. Man is still as he was, is still brutal, violent, aggressive, acquisitive, competitive and... he has built a society along these lines.” -Jiddu Krishnamurti “We don't have to engage in grand, heroic actions to participate in the process of change. Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.” -Howard Zinn

“The awakening of consciousness is the next evolutionary step for mankind.” -Eckhart Tolle

Anti-war Muhammad Ali puts Barack Obama the warmonger to shame

Boxer Muhammad Ali went to jail rather than be drafted in the US Army to fight in Vietnam: "My conscious won't let me go shoot my brother, or some darker people, or some poor hungry people in the mud for big powerful America. And shoot them for what? They never called me nigger, they never lynched me, they didn't put no dogs on me, they didn't rob me of my nationality, rape and kill my mother and father... Shoot them for what? ...How can I shoot them poor people, Just take me to jail."

What Muhammad Ali said about the Vietnam war could be applied just as much to the wars Barack Obama is fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and elsewhere, and the wars he is threatening to start in Iran and Syria.
