There's not much to really say about this other
than the fact that it's violently absurd. At the end of the day I will
always revolve back to the reality than global abundance and environmental
sustainability is completely possible and is being restricted due to suppressed
technology patents that could allegedly violate 'national security.' The
other force lobbying against this disclosure is the multi-national conglomerate
of corporations with vested interest in the fossil fuel economy rather than
renewable and clean energy technology. What would happen if the
population of Earth didn't need to work jobs they hate because their
electricity and fuel sources were basically free? Power would shift so
dramatically it's hard to envision.
There
are other, arguably simpler, ways to solve the problem stated in the title of
this blog. One might be to spend a fraction of the military-industrial
complex budget on poverty. A few hundred billion would end it. It's
quite sick that this is so doable and yet so pathetically avoided. It is
possible to fix. And we are fixing it.
